If you run, or are involved with, a charity you will probably know that the Charity Commission requires you to have your charity's accounts independently examined/audited and signed off by an independent examiner. The examination involves reviewing the charity’s bookkeeping records and comparing these to the financial accounts to ensure that the accounts accurately reflect how the charity has performed over the year. An independent examiner must also prepare and issue a report for the Trustees which details how the examination has been carried out, any material matters that may have arisen and confirm that they are statisfied the accounts give a 'true and fair' view.
The Book Monitor is licensed to carry out independent examinations of charity accounts so please contact us if you would like further information.
